Final Fantasy XIII is now so close that, round these parts, you can almost smell it. Or maybe that’s just the cumulative effect of lingering otaku-burps fuelled by sales of the official FFXIII Elixir, which appeared at conbinis two days ago. That’s right: to keep you sated until the 17th brings the latest epic-mega-hyper-(camp)-blockbuster-extravaganza from Square Enix, you can now pop into your local Lawson and hand over 200 yen for a properly licensed can of potion that contains 100% of your daily requirement of Vitamins B1 and B6.
If you’re a bit weird, you might want to repeat the transaction 16 times over and collect the complete set of character-embossed cans. If you’re even closer to the edge of reality, you could choose to pick up some can + figurine sets, which are going for 980 yen each. However, when the 17th arrives, please do not forget to cough up 9,000 yen for a copy of the game that all this crap is tied in to. After that, well, you should probably set aside 5,000 yen for the inevitable overpriced soundtrack in the deluxe camel-skin casing…
